Bulecopack JSC is established in April, 2004. Its permit, the Packaging Recovery Organization receives on 20.11.2004.
Now the organization unites more than 1000 companies from different branches for collective fulfillment of their obligations for separate waste collection and recovery for the packaging, accumulated as a result of their marketing activity.
Being a packaging recovery organization, Bulecopack JSCo implements the following activities in order to fulfill its obligations:
- Organization and management of separate waste collection, transportation, sorting, recycling and packaging recovery;
- Organizing and carrying out information campaigns for users’ participation in separate waste collection systems;
- Preparation and realization of educational programs for kindergartens and schools aiming at the popularization of separate waste collection and packaging recovery;
- Providing legal and advisory assistance and other services to the companies obliged to organize the waste collection, recovery and recycling;
- Organizing seminars and other meetings for the popularization of the company’s objectives and goals;
At present, Bulecopack JSC organizes and manages separate waste collection systems in the Municipality of Sofia- districts of Lyulin, Mladost, Iskar and Novi Iskar, as well as in the Municiality of Elin Pelin, Gorna Malina, Shumen, Novi Pazar and Kaspichan. These systems cover more than 460 000 residents.
